It will be a night full of delicious Greek vegan food, talk and discussion and of course…lots of music that will keep us entertained throughout the entire evening.

HET ACHTERSTE VAN DE TONG. It has been a really “warm” summer this year for Greece and as most of you know “warm” is not only temperature related. So we grabbed the opportunity and would like to welcome the new season with an overview of what happened in the Greek political scene in order to obtain a spherical view of how “Greek Crisis” is perceived in Greece as well as in the Netherlands.
We will have two speakers to address these and other issues: Vasilis Karakasis, born in Athens, is a PhD-student at the University of Leiden, specialised in International and European Studies (PhD on the Cyprus Issue); Merijn Oudenampsen, born in Amsterdam, is a sociologist and political scientist, and has written for, among others, De Groene Amsterdammer, De Correspondent and de Volkskrant. Currently, he is working on a PhD project on Dutch populism. There will be a Q&A and room for discussion. The discussion will be moderated by Lykle de Jong, and the whole of the evening will be in English..
