Noodweer opent vandaag een expositie met werk van Cedric Boisdon.

Our first real expo in the Vrijplaats!

One of the first people who came to us to show us some work during our showcase opening last autumn, Cedric turned out to be a real gem. The soul of an artist and the hands of an engineer. Cedric’s photography neatly illustrates what makes good photography art as opposed to snapshots of things that just happened.

“As long as I can remember, I remember images , my dog playing in the snow, the garland made by the spider web enrobed by the fine crystalline structure of ice in the wood, in the warm  morning light of February, the virgin snow blanket in the field surrounded by trees . The dead deer in the woods , with bone and skin totally in touch with it surroundings, cold and white faces of the peoples from the countryside, the amazing atmosphere created by the fires smouldering in the woods at night.

But as time passes and I grow older, images accumulated in boxes and became a burden, as you learn to accept that the times pass , giving way for the future ,you have to let go of the past, and my view on photography started changing, to become an experience of is own.

Instead of recording landscape I could create some , altering reality to better feed my imagination , opening the door to an ever changing world of images, where computer and camera become an extension of your mind, and together, a cyborg entity of it own.”

After the opening Cedrics work will grace the walls of the Vrijplaats for a month more.
