Brian James is a singer-songwriter who has been writing and performing music for over 20 years. He has a great love for pop / rock music from the ’70’s and ’80’s and draws inspiriation from Steely Dan, The Eagles en Richard Marx. He is a regular guest at the Unplugged Sessions at the Vrijplaats where he (like all other artist ) is limited to performing three songs but on this night he will perform two 45 minute sets!

In 2014, he released his debut solo album “Right Here”.

On his 2016 follow up album “Let It Ride” he was backed by local legends Wouter Kiers (saxophone) and Eltjo Cleton (electric guitar), as well as Aaron Goldstein (pedal steel) and the late Ron Doove (drums).

The album has produced three hits so far in Aruba’s Top 20: ‘Let It Ride’, ‘Even Though’ and ‘Still Want You’; with ‘Even Though’ holding the top position for 3 weeks.

‘Even Though’ was also nominated for best song of 2016 in Live071’s “De Leidse Lijst”.
