Cross-fertilization between film and music is not a new phenomenon. But what if you ask a musician to reinterpret a film by adding his personal composed or improvised soundtrack to it? Two artists have accepted our challenge: different interpretations, different sounds that will lead us in an alternative dimension of cinema. The results are surprising, and are performed live during LISFE at the Vrijplaats!

Leo Fabriek, multi-talented artist from Leiden, will perform along with Hannah Driesse original works inspired by – and simultaneously to the projections of – two beautiful LISFE short films: “Distopia”, and “Un Dimanche Matin”.

Then Carlos Roos, Europe-based Venezuelan multi-disciplinary artist and musician, offers a live soundtrack to the ground-breaking film “Man with a Movie Camera’ (Russia, 1929).
