Join us for the Grand Season Premiere of Leiden English Comedy Nights with stand-up comedians from around the world performing IN ENGLISH!
Each show sees Carly Baker (USA) & InternationalComedians.com founder Joe Eagan (Canada) bring different comedians to Leiden from around the world to entertain you in English.
This show is a special season premiere with two top female acts Dana Alexander (Canada) and Allyson June Smith (Canada) both in Europe on tour and we welcome them to Leiden!
We also welcome special guest Bennett Arron (UK)!!!

Dana Alexander (CANADA)
Originally from Edmonton, Dana began her comedy career at the tender age of 18 and quickly became a regular fixture in Canadian Comedy Clubs, universities and festivals. She was voted in the “Best Discoveries” by Toronto’s renowned Now Magazine in 2006 and has since been included in their “Best Of” issues three years in a row, easily making her one of Canada’s hottest emerging young comedians. Her Canadian TV credits include Halifax Comedy Festival (CBC), Video on Trial (Much Music), women’s only network The Slice Network and The Comedy Channel (XM Satellite Radio) and this past year her national half hour comedy special was aired on CTV.

Allyson June Smith (CANADA)
Since 2000, Allyson June Smith has been tickling Canada’s comedy scene from the moment she put down the chalk brush and picked up a mic. Playing to packed rooms has become like another day in the classroom for this former school teacher.
Her credits include her own hour long Comedy Now special, appearances on CBC Radio’s hit show The Debaters, and the Winnipeg, Halifax and Just For Laughs Festivals, to name just a few. A multiple Canadian Comedy Award nominee for Best Female Stand-Up, she performs for audiences ranging from corporations to the most rural of gatherings. Whether she was the emcee, support, or headliner, she’s delighted them all.

Bennett Arron (UK). Bennett is an award-winning writer and stand up comedian who recently supported Ricky Gervais on some of his tour dates.
