Acoustic guitar performance: ‘Songs from the South: an homage to folk music in Chile, Argentina and Uruguay’ Milonga, Zamba, Cueca, Tonada… All of them are traditional music styles from the Southern part of the South American Continent that walk aside with the people inhabiting these remote landscapes. We will make an exploration of those melodic and poetical manifestations through a number of anonymous old songs and through the compositions of outstanding figures such as Atahualpa Yupanqui and Alfredo Zitarrosa.
